Preamble helps you prepare for the civics and English portions of the United States naturalization test. It reproduces question lists and vocabulary lists published by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and provides practice and mock interviews built on them.
Preamble is an independent app published by Minh Nguyen. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, approved by, or connected to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of Homeland Security, or any other government agency or official. It uses no government seal, logo or mark.
The app connects to no government system. It submits nothing to USCIS, files nothing, tracks no case status, and issues no document.
Nothing in this app is legal advice about your eligibility, your application or your immigration status. Naturalization law is complex and individual circumstances differ. For advice about your own case, consult a licensed immigration attorney or a DOJ-accredited representative.
The questions, the acceptable answers and the vocabulary lists are reproduced verbatim from USCIS publications, and an automated check verifies on every release that each shipped string appears in the source document. The edition of every document is shown in the app.

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Preamble on devices you own or control, under Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (standard EULA), which applies to this app except where these Terms are more specific.
The underlying government publications are works of the United States Government and are not subject to copyright under 17 U.S.C. § 105. The app itself — its software, design and original text — is © 2026 Minh Nguyen.
Preamble is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including any outcome of an immigration application.
